I got up at 5am on a Saturday to read books.
I'm pretty sure that solidifies my geek status.
I read for just over 18 hours...with a few breaks to eat (although I tried to eat while reading) and shower.
I finished "Limbo" by Dima Zales. This was given to me to review through the same program that gave me "Oasis," the first book in the series. It was pretty good. I don't normally pick up sci-fi but the plot and relationships are interesting enough to keep me engaged.
Next up, I picked up Volume One of the Night World collection....a book with the first 3 singles in it. I'd forgotten just how much I love these books. I closed the volume and found myself sad that I didn't have the others. I gladly would have read the entire series that day.
I had a NetGalley release copy of "Just a Girl" by Ellie Cahill. Remember that book "Call Me Maybe" I LOVED? Same author!
After that, I read books 4-6 in the Rebekka Franck series. I guess you'd call it crime something? I don't know the exact genre. I think they're translated from Danish...so there are a few spots where the translation doesn't totally work but I could make sense of it.
I ended up going to bed close to 11pm. So, I didn't make it the full 24 hours...but 18/19 hours and over 1600 pages is still pretty damn impressive!
I have another readathon (Bout of Books) coming up the second week in May! I'll be making those posts soon.
